New Beginnings. New Possibilities.

Spring

The season of new beginnings

The time for new possibilities.

Jacquie Coston

April showers bring May flowers – which will be nice, but let’s get real! We are all hoping that it also brings some calm to our current pandemic.  Hands up if you have had enough?

I will look back at the past month - April 2021 - with two vastly different perspectives. Being based in Ontario, the 3rd lock-down is very heavy on the heart. I pray for all those that are essential or front-line workers and for the parents who are managing the combination of school and their jobs/careers. These are extremely difficult times.

But I also feel grateful that this spring represents the launch of our Kairos In-Residence program. I have been extremely fortunate throughout my career. I have enjoyed my work. I have been challenged and given opportunities to build the skills and expertise that have led me to where I am today. Each of the shifts in my career have been rewarding.

A New Way of Business + Mentorship

At Costron + Co., the launch of our new Kairos In-Residence program has given us the opportunity to reimagine how to develop future leaders and entrepreneurs. The Kairos In-Residence program is our contribution to a new way of business and mentorship. For me personally it is self-actualization, that through our work we can mentor future entrepreneurs and develop leaders for tomorrow in a unique business structure.

So, what is the Kairos In-Residence program all about?

We all know what the term in-residence means in the artistic sense. An artist is mentored, typically through a gallery setting, where they focus on their art and learn from mentors. They stay in-residence for a period of time and when they leave the in-residence program they do so with more skills and confidence.

This is what we hope for our entrepreneurs. That they leave with clarity and confidence as they go to market and manifest their own business dreams.

Each in-residence entrepreneur will bring their own business skills to Costron + Co. to collaborate with our clients. We provide an opportunity for them to learn, gain new skills that are transferrable to their own business, and be compensated for their contributions. All while Costron + Co. mentors and supports their personal business.

Welcome Taylor Fox – Our First Kairos In-Residence Entrepreneur

Costron + Co. launched our first official Kairos In-Residence entrepreneur on May 1st. You will meet the amazing Taylor Fox in our May newsletter. We are excited about this program, and we are grateful for Taylor taking this leap with us. We have lots to learn. We don’t know how many entrepreneurs we can embrace through this program, but we do know that we are committed to making a difference.

Many years ago, a plaque was left on my desk that reads:

To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.

To me this quote as always represented how one person can make a difference in one person’s life. That is what we want to be: the difference to someone. We hope you will find your way to be the world to someone.
