I will guide you and/or your organization to develop practical solutions for diversity, equity, and inclusion. I engage with leaders and organizations by conducting DEI audits, developing comprehensive DEI strategies.  From this learning we develop inclusive policies and procedures including DEI benchmarking and reporting. As part of this journey I can guide your team through workshops tailored to your organization. These workshops will focus on understanding and managing unconscious bias, building inclusive cultures, navigating race, equity and privilege, and mental health inclusion.

Hi There!

I am a registered Social Worker and a Practician of change management and diversity, equity and inclusion. I hold a master’s degree in Leadership from PACU in Kenya and a Master of Social Work from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

In 1996, when war broke out in eastern Congo, I was 15-years-old and so began my journey where I witnessed merciless killings of friends, neighbours, and family. Through perseverance and determination, after years as a refugee, I emerged as an inclusive social worker and leader who uses his lived and professional experience to empower organizations and individuals to become inclusive resilient cultures, and leaders. I document this journey in my book Still With Us: Msenwa’s Untold Story of War, Resilience and Hope.

My journey, as a child of DRC, an author, and a student of Social Work and EDI has lead me to inspiring others to seek change, first with themselves, and then the organization they are part of, and the systems they witness.

As founder and director of the Msenwa Foundation, I promote resilience, hope and possibilities among children, youth and vulnerable women in DR Congo. I am also the manager of Equity and Transformation at FACSFLA in Kingston area. In my spare time, I love playing soccer, spending time with his family, reading and traveling.
