This 2 hour workshop will tackle some barriers to DEI and its impact in the workplace. Participants will be provided with practical strategies to turn their organizations into an organization that finds strengths through diversity. 

Recognizing Unconscious Bias as Small Business Owner

Unconscious bias is one of the most pervasive obstacles to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This 2 hours workshop will explore sources and mechanisms of bias and most importantly its impact in the workplace. Participants will be provided with strategies and tools to increase their awareness and effective ways to address unconscious biases and its impact in the workplace. The session will allow them to recognize unconscious bias in their staff and to their staff and also to their clients and in their clients.  

Improving Hiring Practices and Supporting Staff from a DEI lens. 

An DEI assessment helps an organization understand the experience of various groups with the organization and their perceptions regarding workplace representation, fairness, inclusion and belonging. This 2 hour workshop will introduce participants to ways in which an organization, big or small can improve hiring practices and support staff from a DEI lens.   Participants will be provided with a questionnaire to complete that addresses 4 dimensions of diversity in the workplace and engaged in an honest dialogue about their responses and perception of where their organization is at in their DEI work.  From this workshop 1-on-1 sessions can be booked to further support the organization.

The Triple Bottom Line

 The triple bottom line (TBL) is the belief that companies should focus on social and environmental concerns as much as they do on profit.  Namely, putting people and the planet inline with profit.
